EQUIPMENT

Most images were taken with my Nikon D300 camera. My “go to” lens is an 18-300 mm Nikon F3.5-5.6 zoom lens - I never shoot without it. I know it is not considered a fabulous lens, but it is by far the most versatile for my kind of shooting. And as they say, getting the shot is the most important thing! I also have a 70-300 mm Nikon F4.5-5.6 zoom lens that is fabulous, especially on a tripod , a 50 mm Nikon F2.6, and a 60 mm Nikon Macro lens (for all my close up flower images). I recently got a Lens Baby Composer at Photoshop World in Las Vegas that I am busy learning to use. My tripod is a Gitzo Mountaineer and the ballhead is a BD300-L by Really Right Stuff. I might add that I keep a Canon PowerShot A1000 IS with me all the time and it has taken some pretty great pictures when I was caught without my Nikon.

I do most of my post-processing in Lightroom with additional help from Photoshop CS4 and Photomatix for my HDR processing. I also use Corel Painter XI and I love the Topaz plug ins for Photoshop.
